Groupe Printemps and the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) announce the launch of several scholarship schemes to support fashion know-how and entrepreneurship. This collaboration is a further illustration of Groupe Printemps' ongoing commitment to empowerment, the common thread running through its social commitment.

Groupe Printemps is helping to finance the 2023-2024 tuition fees of a dozen students in the IFM's new "Métiers de la Mode" CAP. Awarded on the basis of social criteria and merit, these scholarships will enable participants to finance their training in dressmaking, mechanics and prototyping.

"We are committed to opening up our training courses to all young fashion talents, whatever their financial means. We're delighted that the Printemps Group is supporting us in this initiative, which I'm sure will create new vocations and contribute to the promotion of French know-how," comments Xavier Romatet, Managing Director of the IFM.

For the year 2023-2024, the Printemps Group and the IFM Incubator are joining forces to launch the Bourse Printemps: a scheme of exceptional grants offered to 5 entrepreneurs with projects in the development of innovative products and services in the creative industries. Identified by a committee made up of professionals and representatives from IFM and Groupe Printemps, 5 beneficiaries will receive full financial support for a one-year incubation period at the IFM Incubator, starting in September 2023:

  • AKO: artificial intelligence software designed to optimize inventory management for fashion brands
  • ASKIITA: upcycled unisex jewelry brand
  • MAMA SERIE ORIGINALE: limited series of fashion and lifestyle textile objects from French know-how
  • NOUÉ: brand of upcycled leather and silk accessories
  • THE WEDDING EXPLORER: marketplace dedicated to the world of weddings

"At Groupe Printemps, we are convinced that it is by fostering the growth of creative youth that we weave the threads of ever more inspiring fashion. By investing in emerging talent, we are helping to shape the fashion landscape of tomorrow. Every scholarship we offer is a concrete contribution to helping young people from all backgrounds to pursue their passion and find a place in the creative industries," comments Jean-Baptiste Dacquin, Managing Director of Human Resources at Groupe Printemps.

Committed to empowerment, the Printemps Group is multiplying its partnerships in favor of job accessibility. In 2023, for example, the Group contributed to the funding of some fifteen students in the CAP Numérique program at IMIE-Paris, training them to become web and mobile web developers - key skills for the digitalization of retail. Convinced that the transmission of knowledge and skills is key, the Group issues certificates in partnership with ESMOD International (Personal Shopper training course) and Université Paris-Dauphine (Retail Manager training course). Since 2014, nearly 69 certificates have been issued.
